Tough Day
Habs lost.
Now is the era of the Sunfire
Wow, so there was some surprises tonight! All the teams that I thought would win their series lost tonight (although Vancouver is winning at the moment) Lundqvist stole the show in Pittsburgh, man was he good. Theodore better step up his game or this series might get interesting. Its no question that Washington out played New York, but just couldn't beat Lundy.
And now for the West matchups
Tomorrow marks day one of the Nhl playoffs, and while I'm no pro, I will go out on a limb and make my predictions.
Ahhhh...another year, another successful hockey pool. I have defended my LBFF championship from last year and finished first with a score of 134 points, 17.5 more then the second place team. Booya! But wait, there is more! I decided to join another pool, this one including some friends from Kings college, and I won that as well. This was alittle closer as I won by only 8 points, and for a good amount of time, my team sat in 4-6 spots. But we had a late season push, and with the help of Shane Doan, Anton Babchuk and Marian Gaborik, we were able to push by the others and come out on top!
So the Habs have made the playoffs! Sure, they are coming in losing 4 straight, and facing one of the best teams in the league. But I'm keeping the faith! And hopefully, Montreal will come to play. Its going to be one tough series!
Wow. Last post was the epic Columbus trip which, might I add, was epic. In a good way.
Probably one of the best experiences of my life came this past Saturday, as 5 of us made our way down to Columbus, Ohio to watch Toronto FC play their first game on the season. The crowd that made its way down to support Toronto was in the thousands. We started the grill, and had a good old fashion tailgate party to start the party. Sure, we had a van and not a truck, but it didn't matter. The crowd kept growing and soon the entire parking lot was covered in Red jerseys.
Wow. This is pretty nuts. Its Patrick Roy's son in the red jersey, opening up a world of hurt on the other goaltender. I know junior gets intense, but geez, this guy takes it to another level. This is no hockey fight, its beating on a kid who doesn't want to fight. I think he might have just kissed his NHL career away (unless Philly drafts him)
