One More Thing About The All-Star Game...

Where was Paul Kariya? I'm pretty sure if he was there, the game would have been much more entertaining.

Check This Out.

Watch closely though. They have him wearing a Ducks jersey at the end, which clearly wasn't from this year. Maybe they couldn't find enough footage, Or, and this is my guess, he was just way to damn quick for the camera.

Hockey is back!

After a 4 day layoff for that garbage All-Star game, real hockey returns and that means the hockey pool is back up and running. Right now, the Hosers are in 5th, but only 3.5 points out of 4th. It is going to take some work, but the Hosers are going for the top! Tonight we have 11 players in the lineup, including top notch goalies Tomas Vokoun and Ryan Miller. We're looking at these two to carry the team while Manny Fernandez recovers. Should be fun watching down the stretch!

Cheers

Hosers Hockey Update

The hockey pool isn't go according to pre-season plans. Granted, we are in 5th, with 68.5 points as of January 19, but its not first. Granted, we were in last place for about 3 weeks at the start of the season, but great trades by GM Stinky Pete has led us to a respectable position.
Now, we do have a few new faces that need to be presented. Last week, a mega deal went down where our second round draft pick, yes, the one and only, Ilya Kovalchuk, and Tim Thomas were traded for Ryan Miller and Shane O'Brien. Now, Miller has played two games, one win, one loss, but has respectable numbers. He is also playing on one of the leagues best teams in Buffalo, so he should be a great asset to the team. O'Brien was brought in to clean up some of the mess that has been left by Joe Corvo in the +- department, and add a few PIMS in the meantime. Oh ya, Corvo has been let go in order to bring in Brett Clark, a teammate to fellow Hoser J.M. Liles, who had to be put on IR with a broken foot.
The Hosers would also like to welcome Tomas Vokoun and Marian Gaborik back as they have spent a considerable amount of time on the IR. Gaborik's goal scoring will hopefully fill the void left by Ilya and Vokoun will team up with Miller, Manny Fernandez and Evgeni Nabokov to form the leagues best goaltending group.
UPDATE: ***Quick press release, happening only a few minutes ago, Brian Gionta, a winger for the NJ Devils, has been traded for Shea Weber, a former draft pick of the Hosers. Reports confirm that upon a physical on Weber which occurs in two days, the trade will be finalized. Team Hosers look to be building a solid D to go with the outstanding goaltending situation they have.***

Good Times

Remember when all those kids went on holidays to far away places at Christmas time? Well, now I have joined that group. I had some pretty crazy experiences on my trip to Florida, including a lot of firsts.
To start things off, I had to met Kristen in Montreal, so instead of driving down, I took a plane. I have never been on a plane before, so it was quite intense. We experience "turbulence" but that was nothing. Except maybe for the guy in the can, he went though the whole thing in there, it was quite funny. The flight lasted only 45 minutes. Everything went alright. Then we drove to Florida, and stayed in Orlando. We went to Universal the first day, and well, I had never been on a roller coaster...so the Duelling Dragons and the Hulk, where quite intense. Insanly intense. But I survived (barely).
We went to Disney for two days, and it was enjoyable. Well, most of it, until the Hollwood Hotel, this massive building that drops you 13 stories in an elavator. Yikes! Again, I survived and I have a picture to prove it. The picture, though, you must never see.
All in all, my Florida experience was amazing. Couldn't ask for more. My favourite ride was Space Mountain at Disney, and as for the 3D show, The Muppets was pretty awesome.

Wooo!
